A Special Thank You
The words "Thank You" seem so small with respect to the overwhelming response from family, friends, strangers, soldiers in Afghanistan, companies and corporations. Please accept out family's heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all of your donations, sponsorships, time and energy.
Matthew's future is upon us and has been made brighter by each and every one of your kind and generous hearts. Our family has come to realize that children with special needs are spiritual catalysts. They challenge and sometimes force us to look at ourselves. They help us accept our own imperfections and the imperfections of others. In that sense, Matthew is not damaged in the least. He is perfect as he is. Along with other children with disabilities, he bears witness to the diversity of the human condition and the resilience of our collective spirit.
Through acceptance and courage and endurance, the road through hardship has brought peace and love to our family. Thank you to all for lighting the way.
